Why Choose a Cottage School?
We are a full-time, five-day per week school with students attending classes on our campus on Mondays & Tuesdays and learning from a home-based classroom under the supervision of a parent three days per week. Our desire is to partner with parents to provide a community of families who train their children in the way they should go, so that they will not depart from it when they are older.
Classical education strives to teach students how to learn, how to think (wisdom), and what to do (virtue). Wisdom and virtue are nurtured through the learning of Latin, immersion in classical texts, and the study of the liberal arts. Christian education at HLSPV is rooted in the inerrant and authoritative Word of God, acknowledging that God is sovereign throughout all time, and has revealed Himself to us through His Son Jesus Christ.

Its purpose is to assist schools in faithfully implementing the Classical Core Curriculum, to uphold rigorous scholarship, and to ensure that teaching remains rooted in truth, goodness, and beauty.
